Local at the Co-op
For 40 years, we’ve been working to support Southeast Michigan’s local, independent businesses by providing another outlet for their products. We work to develop relationships with local farmers, processors, and entrepreneurs, and to carry as many products from local sources as possible.
While the specifics of what we carry may change throughout the year, on any given day we have a huge selection of both locally and regionally sourced products in every department of the store!
What is Local to us?
PFC currently uses a two-tiered definition of local products in our store:

Local = Producer is within 120 miles

Made in Michigan = Producer is in Michigan, but is further than 120 miles
Look for both the “Local” and “Made in Michigan” labels on our shelves to better understand what you’re buying.
Producer Profile
