Get Involved

As a co-op, we thrive when our community is engaged and supportive. Luckily, there are lots of great ways to get involved at PFC! Here are just a few:
1) Become a Member
If you are not already a member of the Co-op but would like to Join, we'd love to have you! Your membership means that you are an owner of the co-op itself - it's a meaningful committment that is fruitful for the co-op, for you and your family, and for the communty we serve.
2) Serve on the Board of Directors
If you are already a member and are looking for more ways to engage, consider running for our Board of Directors, or serving on a board committee. Board committees work on a range of issues and projects that are very important to the co-op, and the input and expertise of members is always needed and welcome at board meetings. Attend this month's Board Meeting to find out how you can contribute your enthusiasm and expertise.
3) Volunteer
We can often use help from the community, and volunteering your time, expertise, or resources can be an easy and fun way to get involved. Periodically, we have volunteer opportunites that are open to the public, and some that are for members only. Some opportunties are on-going projects, while others are for specified events. Let us know how you'd like to help by filling out our quick Volunteer Sign-up Survey.
4) Take Action
Our job as a co-op is not just to provide delicious, healthy food for our members and customers, but we also have a responsibility to take collective action on issues that matter to the health and sustainability of our community and world.
This kind of work requires constant vigilance so we are always working on something. Check the front bulletin board's "Take Action" section to lend your support or check here for the latest way to get involved and make your voice heard.
